Hillary Clinton joked Monday about the indictment of President Donald Trump's former campaign manager, telling guests at a book signing she has "a great chapter about Russia in here."
Paul Manafort, who once chaired Trump's campaign, was indicted by a federal grand jury for lobbying and financial crimes, while George Papadopoulos, an early foreign-policy adviser to the Trump campaign, acknowledged making false statements to the FBI about his contacts with Russians. Manafort's business associate Rick Gates was also indicted.
Manafort and Gates both turned themselves into the FBI and pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Clinton is on a tour for her book, "What Happened," which is an explanation of why she did not become America's first woman president. The Secretary of State under former President Barack Obama was the Democratic presidential nominee in 2016.
"You can find out what happened, and what is still happening," Clinton said in Illinois while holding up her book.
