Warren Edges Biden by 1 Point in IBD-TIPP Poll

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., has edged out former Vice President Joe Biden, though both candidates would beat President Donald Trump in direct match-ups, according to a new IBD-TIPP poll released Monday.

Warren finished with support from 27% of the 900 adults surveyed Sept. 26 to Oct. 3, with Biden ending at 26%.

Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., finished third at 10%, while Pete Buttigieg, the mayor of South Bend, Indiana, placed fourth at 7%.

No other 2020 Democratic candidate polled at more than 3%.

Here are the results in Trump match-ups:

Trump vs. Biden:

  • Biden: 51%.
  • Trump: 44%.

Trump vs. Warren:

  • Warren: 48%.
  • Trump: 46%.

The IBD-TIPP poll has a margin of error of 3.3%.
