Vimeo on Sunday became the latest media platform to remove Infowars’ account from its website, citing a violation of its Terms of Service standards, Business Insider reports.
Facebook, Apple and YouTube recently removed videos posted by Infowars because founder Alex Jones violated their policies on hate speech. Jones has propagated a number of conspiracy theories, including that the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting was a hoax.
Twitter and Periscope remain the sole major platforms to still host Jones.
A Vimeo spokesperson said videos posted on Thursday and Friday by Infowars, "violated our Terms of Service prohibitions on discriminatory and hateful content," adding that Vimeo had notified the account owner and issued a refund, as "we do not want to profit from content of this nature in any way."
