President Donald Trump on Tuesday hunkered down on his national anthem comments when he tweeted out an old video of Jamaican Olympian champion Usain Bolt stopping an interview for the "Star Spangled Banner."
Bolt, who retired this year, was doing a live interview for Television Espanola on the side of the back track during the London Games in 2012 when he halted the interview to stand at attention for the U.S. national anthem.
Trump last Friday said NFL owners should fire players who kneel during the anthem, and doubled down on those comments over the weekend.
"Wouldn't you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, 'Get that son of a b**** off the field right now. He is fired. He's fired,'" he said.
