US to Out Businesses Partnered with NKorea

U.S. officials say they will name banks and businesses in other countries that help Pyongyang, North Korea with illegal activities, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal.

South Korean diplomats reportedly raised doubts that the U.S. would go as far as it did in 2005, when it publicly exposed a Macau bank with ties to Pyongyang.

The publicity cost the bank its depositors and provoked other banks to stop doing business with it.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton recently announced the U.S. would return to such tactics in the wake of the March sinking of a South Korean patrol ship.
