President Donald Trump took a shot at House Speaker Nancy Pelosi Frdaiy, appearing to doubt her mental fitness.
"You think Nancy is the same as she was? She's not. I think we can all say that," Trump said to reporters on the South Lawn of the White House before he left for Japan.
He tweeted a heavily edited video of Pelosi on Thursday night that made it appear she was uncertain in her speech. On Friday, he denied knowing about altered videos.
The tweet with the video was pinned to the top of Trump's Twitter feed.
Trump also confirmed to reporters that he will declassify documents related to the origins of the investigation into Russia's links to the campaign, repeating his claim that the investigation was "an attempted coup."
The president said it could run up to "millions of pages" and said he wanted to declassify FBI and CIA documents, including those that might pertain to contacts overseas in the United Kingdom.
Trump's comments come a day after he granted Attorney General William Barr new powers to review and potentially release classified information.
The president ordered the U.S. intelligence community to "quickly and fully cooperate" with Barr's investigation into the origins of the Russia probe.
Trump said Barr is "in charge" and "let's see what he finds."
