President Donald Trump's re-election campaign will fly a banner slamming Democrats as socialists over Houston on Thursday up to an hour before their third debate at Texas Southern University.
The banner will read "Socialism will kill Houston's economy!" — ABC News reports — and it is scheduled to fly from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. local time. Ten Democrats will take the stage at 7 p.m. for their debate.
The Trump campaign is spending about $7,500 for the flight and two full-page newspaper ads in carrying the meme and a number for texting, said Erin Perrine, the campaign's deputy communications director.
"Every single Democrat candidate has job-killing, economy-crushing policies that won't work for America," Perrine told ABC News in a statement. "Team Trump is here to remind them and let everyone in Houston know what a complete disaster Democrats are for America."
In addition, the campaign also will take out other full-page print ads targeting Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., former Vice President Joe Biden, and former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro, ABC reports.
Two of the ads — scheduled to run in Houston and in San Antonio, which is Castro's hometown — bash the Democrats for killing jobs and attack Castro specifically for "obstructing the president."
"Donate to San Antonio's deplorables and join the prestigious list of those who stand tall for America," one ad is expected to read, ABC reports.
