Rep. Emmer Set to Lead NRCC

Rep. Tom Emmer, R-Minn. is expected to be the next chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee, Roll Call is reporting.

Emmer is running unopposed for the post. He will replace Rep. Steve Stivers of Ohio.  Democrats took control of the House in last week’s midterm elections. Emmer was one of two deputy chairs of the NRCC during the 2018 election cycle.

“I want to work for you,” Emmer told the GOP conference on Tuesday evening.
