Tic Tac, the breath mint mentioned by Donald Trump in the recently leaked video where Trump uses lewd language about women, has issued a statement via Twitter distancing itself from the comments.
"I've got to use some Tic Tacs, just in case I start kissing her," Trump can be heard telling "Access Hollywood" co-host Billy Bush. Trump was about to get off a bus and meet "Days of Our Lives" star Arianne Zucker before making a guest appearance on the soap opera.
"You know, I'm automatically attracted to beautiful – I just start kissing them. It's like a magnet. Just kiss. I don't even wait," Trump said. "And when you're a star, they let you do it. You can do anything."
He then continued with more vulgar comments which have brought criticism from fellow Republicans, including his running mate Mike Pence.
Tic Tac is not the first product to publicly distance itself from the Trump campaign.
Skittles candies also tweeted a response to Donald Trump Jr. when he tweeted a picture of the candies, and asked whether readers would feel comfortable eating a bunch of them if they knew three of them were poison and would kill you – an analogy to allowing in Syrian refugees amid fears terrorist could be among them.
"Skittles are candy. Refugees are people," the candymaker tweeted.
Twitter users noticed the pair of candies that have sought to disassociate from the campaign.
One person even brought up Democrat Hillary Clinton's own recent issues, with WikiLeaks releasing Friday purported transcripts of her speaches to Wall Street.
