New Pro-Israel PAC Vows to Help Defeat Biden

By    |   Friday, 10 May 2024 08:33 AM EDT

The chief of a new pro-Israel super PAC is vowing to "go all in" on helping to defeat Joe Biden in November after the president's comments about drawing a red line on U.S. aid to Israel.

The super PAC, American Fortitude, launched on Thursday. Its president, Aaron Evans, blasted Biden for attempting to win "cheap political votes" by saying he would not supply ammunition to Israel if it invades the city of Rafah in Gaza, the Washington Examiner reported.

In a CNN interview on Wednesday, Biden said he would block some shipments of American weapons to Israel if Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu orders a major invasion of Rafah.

But Evans told the Examiner: "Not only is he [Biden] totally going against the will of a massive bipartisan decision from both chambers of Congress, but he's also literally turning his back on our most important ally. We are going to be not only ensuring that he's held accountable politically, but that people remember this betrayal in November."

American Fortitude is hoping to raise and spend $30 million on the 2024 campaign. Its aim is to hold lawmakers accountable for their stance on Israel as it battles against Hamas.

According to the Examiner, the PAC will target 15-20 races and will try to defeat candidates who don't support U.S aid to Israel.

The super PAC is already preparing an ad against Biden.

"They're states we probably would not have engaged in prior to yesterday," Evans said. "Frankly, we hadn't even made a decision on whether to weigh in on the presidential race yet or not because Biden had at least been giving good lip service. And now he's betrayed that lip service, which is what has prompted us to go all in on the presidential.

"We're already working on our first ad that will draw attention to some of the foreign policy blunders and the cowardice of President Biden. And we'll be releasing that next week," he continued.

"President Biden's administration knows the truth. They're choosing to ignore the truth. "And they're choosing to basically side with terror in order to get cheap political votes at the cost of Israeli lives. And it's unacceptable."
