The Senate Intelligence Committee voted unanimously to give its leaders blanket authority to issue subpoenas in the Russia investigation without a full committee vote, The Hill reported.
Chairman Richard Burr, R-N.C., and the panel's vice chairman, Sen. Mark Warner, D-Va., must be in agreement to issue an order, The Hill reported.
The committee has already issued two rounds of subpoenas — to former national security adviser Michael Flynn and to businesses associated with him.
The panel has also requested information from other former Trump associates, including Carter Page and Paul Manafort, who turned over hundreds of pages of documents to the committee voluntarily.
