Spicer: I'll 'Proudly Play Any Role' if Pence Runs for President

Outgoing White House press secretary Sean Spicer says he would gladly work for Mike Pence should the vice president launch a presidential bid.

Spicer's comments came in a tweet Sunday night:

His tweet appeared to be in response to Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., who had earlier posted on Twitter:

Politico reported Waters' tweet jabbed at Spicer and recently ousted former White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus.

Spicer resigned earlier this month, but has agreed to stay on with the administration through part of August, according to Politico.
