Hannity: Trump Offers 'DACA for Wall' Deal

By    |   Friday, 04 January 2019 09:14 AM EST

Sean Hannity said President Donald Trump is willing to negotiate on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program as part of a deal to build the border wall and end the partial government shutdown.

Hannity made his remarks in his opening monologue on his Fox News show on Thursday, while criticizing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.

“This is now Day One of the Pelosi Shutdown,” Hannity said. “She obviously doesn’t care about DACA because the president is willing to negotiate DACA. He’s willing to talk about Dreamers.”

Later in his show, in an interview with Harvard Law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz, Hannity asked: “How are Republicans playing politics? The president is offering DACA, Dreamers, a deal…”

Moments later, he asked: “Is he not meeting (Democrats) half way with DACA and Dreamers?”

Trump and congressional leaders are scheduled to meet Friday morning to discuss how to end the partial governmental shutdown., NPR noted.

But Pelosi said Thursday night: “We’re not doing the wall. “Does anybody have any doubt that we’re not doing the wall?”
