Members of the media should read President Donald Trump's "Art of the Deal" to understand President Donald Trump's decision to end negotiations with North Korean Chairman Kim Jong Un, Fox News' Sean Hannity said Thursday.
“What does he say in there? If you want to be a great businessperson, up to the last second in any deal, you gotta be able to stand up and walk away and not want it too much,” Hannity told Fox News' "Fox and Friends," while previewing his interview with Trump, which will air Thursday night.
Trump wouldn't do a "bad deal," said Hannity, pointing out that the president already had said ahead of his summit in Hanoi that if a good deal "takes time, it takes time."
“My prediction, in the end, I think it’s going to work out very well because the relationship has been built, and it takes time," said Hannity.
"The president was very clear all week in telegraphing that he doesn't want to rush this, that he prefers a good deal, (and) if it takes time, it takes time," said Hannity. "Unless we have full denuclearization, the president won't do a bad deal."
Earlier, Trump said he'd walked out of the summit with Kim when the leaders could not agree on a deal that would have the U.S. lift its sanctions in exchange for North Korea giving up a large portion of its nuclear weapons program.
Kim “wanted the sanctions lifted in their entirety, and we couldn’t do that," said Trump. Kim, in exchange, had offered to dismantle the main nuclear facility at Yongbyon, but "it wasn't enough," said Trump.
