Former President Barack Obama's youngest daughter may begin her first semester of college next week at the University of Michigan after being seen on campus, The Detroit News reports.
Sasha Obama, 18, was recently spotted at the school's freshman orientation this summer and was on campus again this week with several men thought to be Secret Service agents.
"I was walking by pushing a vacuum and she walked out right in front of me," film student and junior Zach Lassen told The Detroit News. "I said, 'Excuse me.' It was a crowded hallway with her and some Secret Service dudes."
He added, "It's pretty cool."
Sasha's older sister Malia took a year off before she enrolled at Harvard University, the same place their parents attended law school.
A spokesperson for former first lady Michelle Obama declined to comment on Wednesday. A spokesperson for the school declined to say if Sasha Obama was enrolled, but he did comment on a group created in the school's online directory, MCommunity, that was named "Natasha Obama," which is Sasha Obama's full first name.
"This group was created in January, perhaps spurred by media reports of Sasha Obama visiting our campus," spokesman Rick Fitzgerald said. "Faculty, staff, and students all have the ability to create group accounts in MCommunity. The group is disabled and is in the process of being deleted. Thanks for bringing it to my attention."
"We cannot confirm the enrollment of any student," he added. "Classes do not start until next week, and we are weeks away from official enrollment information."
