Actress Sarah Jessica Parker stopped short of giving her "Sex and the City" cohort Cynthia Nixon a full-throated endorsement as a candidate for governor of New York, Page Six reports.

Nixon last week announced plans to take on incumbent Gov. Andrew Cuomo for the Democratic nomination and has received endorsements from other "Sex and the City" cast mates.

But not Parker.

"Cynthia has been my friend and colleague since we were little girls. I look forward to talking to her about her New York state gubernatorial bid," spokeswoman Ina Treciokas told Page Six on behalf of Parker.

Industry insiders fear Parker's non-endorsement could pour cold water on a third "Sex and the City" movie, Page Six reports.
