Former Trump aide Sam Nunberg on Wednesday said he has complied with FBI special counsel Robert Mueller's subpoena and will "answer every single question" when he appears before a federal grand jury Friday.

"I'm not holding anything back," Nunberg told WABC's Rita Cosby when asked whether he would hand over every document, email, and news clipping Mueller's team requested.

"It ended up not being as difficult as I thought it would be."

Nunberg spent most of Monday promising to defy the subpoena, even throwing down a challenge for the FBI to "arrest me." He made several appearances and called into at least three cable news shows to discuss his take, a wild day of interviews that ended at CNN with host Erin Burnett asking him whether he had been drinking, telling him she smelled alcohol on his breath as he sat near her at the studio desk.

Nunberg told Cosby he was not drunk, and was happy to talk with Mueller's team.

"I'm not going to take the fifth on anything, because I don't need to take the fifth on anything," Nunberg said. "I'm not going to give them the excuse to throw me into jail because I won't respond to a question . . . I'm going to answer every single question."
