Brash British satirist Sacha Baron Cohen on Thursday needled former Alaska governor and GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin for her outrage at his "sick" humor, tweeting a rebuttal from his new Showtime series character.
"I demand an apology," the fictional Billy Wayne Ruddick Jr, Ph.D, tweeted, refuting Palin's claim he misrepresented himself as a military veteran to lure her into an interview for the "Who Is America?" series premiering Sunday.
"I did not say I was a war vet," the proclaimed "founder/ceo/accountant of Truthbrary.org" asserted. "I was in the service — not military, but United Parcel, and I only fought for my country once —when I shot a Mexican who came onto my property."
"I have always admired you for telling the truth about Obama's birth certificate and the location of Russia," he added. "But ma'am, I do believe you have been hit by a bulls–t grenade and are now bleedin' fake news."
Last week, Palin took to Facebook to denounce Cohen, referencing a tweet by Drudge Report chief Matt Drudge that warned the comedian was "at it again" and tricking politicians and journalists alike.
