The chairman of the House Judiciary Committee wants to know whether President Donald Trump was aware of any illegal acts by members of his campaign — and when — during the contentious 2016 election.

On the same day Trump associate and political consultant Roger Stone was arrested by the FBI on several charges related to witness tampering and lying, Rep. Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., tweeted a list of former Trump campaign officials who have been arrested and/or convicted of federal crimes.

"Roger Stone, Paul Manafort, Michael Cohen, Rick Gates, Michael Flynn... What did the President know and when did he know it?" Nadler wrote.

Stone was taken into custody during a pre-dawn raid by FBI agents early Friday morning at his Fort Lauderdale home. He is charged with obstruction, giving false statements, and witness tampering related to his alleged knowledge of document dumps made by Wikileaks that were damaging to Democrat Hillary Clinton's campaign.

With Democrats now in control of the House, they pledged to investigate Trump and his associates in regards to alleged collusion that occurred between the Trump campaign and Russia.

Stone was expected to appear in court later Friday morning.
