Eighty-two percent of Americans believe the development of nuclear weapons by North Korea poses a critical threat to the United States, according to a new Gallup poll.
Another 14 percent say the issue is an important, but not critical and 3 percent say it is not important at all.
Here is how the survey breaks down:
- 81 percent say cyberterrorism is a critical threat to the U.S. while, 16 percent say it is important, but not a critical and 3 percent say it is not important.
- 75 percent say international terrorism poses a critical threat to the U.S., compared to 22 percent say it is important, but not critical and 2 percent say it is not important.
- 40 percent say the economic power of China is a critical threat to the U.S., 45 percent say it is important, but not critical and 14 percent say it is not important.
The poll, conducted Feb. 1-10, surveyed 1,044 adults. The margin of error is plus or minus 4 percentage points.
