Fox News Apologizes for Implying Eagles' Players Knelt During Anthem

Fox News issued an apology Tuesday for a segment it ran implying that members of the Philadelphia Eagles knelt during the national anthem as part of the widespread protests last season.

Footage used by Fox in its segment was actually of Eagles players kneeling while praying before a game, not during the anthem.

Fox ran the segment Monday, hours after President Donald Trump disinvited the Super Bowl champs from visiting the White House. Just 10 players were planning to attend anyway, most not going in protest of Trump's characterization of the league-wide protests.

The segment spurred a strong and swift reaction from two Eagles players:
