Former President Barack Obama on Sunday reacted to the mass murder in Texas, tweeting support to the victims and families while summoning God's wisdom "to reduce the violence and weaponry in our midst."

By contrast, President Donald Trump called the alleged mass murderer "deranged" and tweeted that the church shooting that killed 26 was about mental health issues, not guns.
