In the midst of President Barack Obama and the First Family preparing to leave the White House, their 4-year-old dog Sunny had a meltdown and bit a teen-aged family friend, TMZ reports.
The celebrity news site reported the canine crisis occurred Monday when an 18-year-old visitor went to pet and kiss Sunny, the youngest of the Obamas' two Portuguese Water Dogs, and got bit in the face.
The bite left a gash under the girl's right eye that the Obamas' family physician, Dr. Ronny Jackson, decided would need some stitches that'll likely leave a small scar, "which upset" the teen, TMZ reported, quoting unnamed sources.
The young woman later posted pictures of the wound and the doctor visit on social media, TMZ reported; the outlet also posted a picture of the dog bite wound.
The Obamas' other dog is 8-year-old Bo, who claims the title of "First Dog."
The White House didn't give TMZ a comment on the incident.
