NHTSA Opens Probe Into 1.27M Ford F-150 Pickups

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on Monday it had opened a safety-related investigation into 1.27 million Ford F-150 pickup trucks following reports of unexpected transmission downshifts without warning or driver input, often accompanied by a temporary rear-wheel lockup.
