The Statue of Liberty could most likely end up on redesigned license plates for New York.
Empire State residents may vote online for the 2020 plate design until Sept. 2, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Monday.
Lady Liberty is featured on four of the five options available to New Yorkers. The designs also feature the word "Excelsior," the Latin motto on the New York state seal that means "Ever upward," CNN reports.
The other design features the Gov. Mario M. Cuomo Bridge, a 3.1-mile twin-span structure named for the governor's father, who died in 2015.
Opened in 2017, it replaced the Tappan Zee Bridge, which connected counties on both sides of the Hudson River 20 miles north of New York City since its beginning in 1952.
"License plates are a symbol of who we are as a state — and New Yorkers should have a voice and a vote in its final design," Andrew Cuomo said in a statement.
