Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is not a suspect in a naval graft probe involving a German shipbuilder, Israeli Police Commissioner Roni Alscheich said.
His comments were reported in The Times of Israel on Thursday.
According to the newspaper, a number of Netanyahu's associations have been implicated in the case, including his personal lawyer.
The lawyer, who is also Netanyahu's cousin, had represented the Germany company and is suspected of using his influence in return for a cut of the deal.
The state's witness, Miki Ganor, had been suspected of giving bribes in connection to the purchase of submarines from the German company, ThyssenKrupp, the Times reported. Alscheich said Ganor has been very helpful in the probe.
"He provided the goods and did so very well," Alsheich told the Makor Rishon newspaper in Israel. "I think he gave everything he promised to give, and more."
