House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., mocked President Donald Trump's version of his planned wall along the U.S. southern border as a “beaded curtain,” USA Today is reporting.
"First of all, the fact ... that he says, ‘We're going to build a wall with cement, and Mexico's going to pay for it,’ while he's already backed off of the cement – now he's down to, I think, a beaded curtain or something, I'm not sure where he is," Pelosi told the newspaper.
Trump had said last week the border wall will be a “beautiful” structure made of “artistically designed steel slats” you can see through.
"The Democrats, are saying loud and clear that they do not want to build a Concrete Wall – but we are not building a Concrete Wall, we are building artistically designed steel slats, so that you can easily see through it," Trump had tweeted.
