Vice President Mike Pence on Saturday during a rally in Ohio joked about all the hoopla surrounding his rule to never eat alone with a woman other than his wife, saying she couldn’t be with him because "she already had dinner plans."

Pence in 2002 told The Hill of his dinner rule, which was highlighted again in a Washington Post piece on Karen Pence published last week.

The tidbit, to say the least, got plenty of attention.
