The economic agenda of President Donald Trump is "resonating" with voters, Sen. Mike Braun, R-Ind., said.
Braun made his comments Thursday during an interview on Fox News' "Fox & Friends."
And Braun cited Trump's signing Wednesday of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement as another major economic step for the administration.
"It's a big deal," he said. "It will hype up the growth and GDP over so many jobs created. It is just good across the board. And we need to get back to that as well as tackling healthcare and other issues."
Fox News said USMCA is the biggest trade deal of all time and covers more than $1.3 trillion of commerce. The agreement, which still has to be ratified by Canada, is expected to create 80,000 new jobs tied to the car industry.
USMCA also will open new markets for American wheat, poultry, and other farm goods, Fox News reported.
Despite the Democrats' effort to remove the president from office, Trump's economic success is capturing the attention of American voters, Braun said.
"It's resonating across the country that the agenda is working," he said, adding, "and, when you look at the crazy talk on the other side, whether it's coming from Bernie [Sanders] or Joe Biden, you know it is going to be an easy argument for our president to make. He is doing a great job."
