President Donald Trump reportedly ribbed Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder for not endorsing him during the 2016 White House race — and then sharply declared: "I never forget."
During the president's visit to Ypsilanti on Wednesday, Trump invited the second-term Republican to pose for a photo with him "even though you didn't endorse me," the Detroit News reported.
The News reported despite Snyder's refusal to endorse the then-GOP presidential nominee, Snyder has since been trying to build relationships with the new administration — and joined Trump and auto industry executives on a tour of American-made automobiles on Wednesday.
Trump was walking with General Motors Co. CEO and Chairman Mary Barra, who had just shown Trump the made-in-Michigan 2017 Chevrolet Bolt electric vehicle, when he called Snyder over for a photo.
And after Trump's jibe about Snyder's non-endorsement, Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao piped in: "He's never forgotten," the News reported.
"I never forget," Trump shot back, according to the News.
