President Donald Trump said Friday that his longtime personal attorney, Michael Cohen, is no longer representing him.
Cohen, who is currently under investigation for alleged violation of campaign finance laws and bank fraud, was replaced as Trump’s lawyer by former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani in April.
"I haven’t spoken to Michael in a long time," Trump told reporters on Friday, according to The Hill, speaking briefly outside the White House. "No, he’s not my lawyer anymore, but I always liked Michael. And he’s a good person."
Giuliani said last month that Cohen was no longer Trump’s attorney "as far as we know," adding that "there’d be nothing for him to do right now."
