Mark Levin: Boehner Has Done 'Lousy Job'

By    |   Wednesday, 07 Jan 2015 11:14 PM

Conservative radio talk show host Mark Levin wants to see House Speaker John Boehner talk to Democrats such as President Barack Obama, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid the same way he does to conservatives in his own party.

Boehner on Wednesday addressed the fact that he had taken two members of the House Rules Committee following their role Tuesday in a rebellion in electing him as speaker. Florida Rep. Daniel Webster ran against Boehner, and received 12 votes. Fellow Floridian Rep. Richard Nugent cast one of those 12 votes.

"But this morning I told the members the same thing I'm saying here, we're going to have a family conversation, which we had this morning, about bringing our team together," Boehner told reporters.

The 25 total conservative Republicans who cast votes against Boehner "think he's done a lousy job as speaker," Levin said on Fox News' "Hannity" program.

And, he said, they are in line with a majority of Republcain voters across the nation.

Pollster Pat Caddell recently found that 60 percent of GOP voters do not want Boehner as speaker.

"Under John Boehner, he has adopted Nancy Pelosi's policies," Levin said.

"The members don't get to read these massive omnibus bills 72 hours in advance. They're not putting legislation through subommittees and committees so they know what's going on and the American people can participate in the process."
