Sen. Marco Rubio says Joe Biden has a long history "on being wrong" and would be a "disaster as commander-in-chief."
In an interview Thursday with radio host Hugh Hewitt, the GOP presidential contender asserts the vice president was against the raid on Osama bin Laden's secret compound in 2011 – and "was a huge fan of the reset with Russia."
"He has a lot of experience on being wrong," Rubio said. "He didn’t want to do the bin Laden raid…. he’s been wrong time and again on issue after issue."
"So Joe Biden is actually a very nice person, but he’s been wrong on every major foreign policy issue before this country over the last 20 years," he added. "He would be a disaster as commander-in-chief."
Rubio's comments come as Biden, who served in the Senate for more than three decades before becoming VP,
weighs whether to enter the race and challenge front-running Hillary Clinton.
Rubio also hit back at Clinton's blast at Rubio and other Republicans, comparing them to terrorist groups in a war on women.
"[I]t’s par for the course for her," he said. "[S]he’s a failing candidate… And quite frankly, she’s been chasing Bernie Sanders and others in her party to the extreme left. So obviously, she’s going to go around saying outrageous things, and I expect more of it in the months to come."
