Lisa Marie Presley is about to drop new information about her father, Elvis Presley, and reveal "shocking" details about her ex-husband Michael Jackson, in a tell-all book, according to a new report.
The 51-year-old has inked a massive book deal with Gallery Books, which is paying her between $3 million and $4 million for the inside scoop, a source told Page Six.
Readers can expect to find "shocking revelations about Michael Jackson and a completely new understanding of Elvis," the source said.
It is unclear what those revelations are, but they may offer insight into Lisa Marie's brief marriage to Jackson, and explain why the couple split after two years.
Their wedding on May 26, 1994, was a private affair but their divorce was a public spectacle. In 2010 Lisa Marie opened up to Oprah Winfrey on what it was like being married to the King of Pop.
"There was a very profound point in the marriage when he had to make a decision. Was it the drugs and the sort of vampires, or me? And he pushed me away," she said, according to HuffPost.
"The one thing that correlates with Michael and with my father on this subject is that they had the luxury of creating whatever reality around them they wanted to create," Lisa Marie added. "They could have the kinds of people who were going to go with their program or not go with their program. If they weren’t, then they could be disposed of."
She was quick to point out that this did not make Jackson a bad person.
"He didn’t know any better … I took it very personally, though. I felt I was disposable. You know? And it was the same with my father," she continued. "Sometimes I sit and I think there have been times when I’ve been angry at the people around him. 'Why didn’t you stop him? Why didn’t you say something?'' Well, because if you did, you were out. It’s very simple."
