CNN: Lindsey Graham Wants Confederate Flag Taken Down in SC

Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, a candidate for the party's presidential nomination, will call for the Confederate flag to be taken down from the grounds of that state's capitol, CNN journalist Dana Bash tweeted Monday.

The tweet comes on the heels of South Carolina state Rep. Norman "Doug" Brannon proposing legislation to remove the Confederate flag from the grounds of the Statehouse in Columbia, and amid reports that Gov. Nikki Haley is to announce at a press conference later Monday afternoon that she also supports its removal.

Some in the GOP, like former presidential nominee Mitt Romney, say the flag should be taken down immediately, while others say that the decision should be made at the state level.
