House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., is asking his social media followers for help in identifying a group of vandals that tossed a "boulder" through a window of his office in Bakersfield, California.
In a post Monday on his Instagram account, McCarthy showed pictures of the two men he says were responsible as well as a shot of the damage.
"Does anyone know these two guys? They threw a boulder thru our office window and took office equipment," McCarthy wrote.
According to The Hill, Bakersfield Police said in a Tuesday news release that officers responded Sunday morning to the congressman's office after a report of a burglary.
Two individuals shattered a window with a large rock, then walked inside and took electronics, police said. None contained any sensitive or governmental information, nor were they connected to federal networks, police said.
Police identified two suspects in the case, The Hill reported. Both were described as white men between 20 and 30 years old.
McCarthy and other congressional representatives are generally campaigning in their home districts with two weeks left before the midterm elections.
