Sen. Kelly Ayotte says the U.S. plan to train moderate rebels in Syria to fight the Islamic State (ISIS) does not have much chance of success because Syrian President Bashar Assad's forces are killing them anyway.
"As soon as we can train them Assad's going to kill them, so I'm not sure how that's going to work," the New Hampshire Republican said Wednesday on
Fox News Channel's "On the Record with Greta Van Susteren."
Reuters reported Wednesday that a Syrian helicopter dropped two barrel bombs on refugees in the northern province of Idlib. A person in a video reportedly shot at the site said that up to 75 people were killed.
