President Joe Biden's approval rating remains low, even among Democrat voters, according to a Pew Research survey released Thursday.
Just 33% of Americans approve of the job Biden is doing compared with 65% who disapprove.
The survey, taken between Jan. 16-21 among 5,140 American adults, also shows:
- Just 27% of adults ages 18-29 approve of the way Biden is handling his job as president, while 71% disapprove.
- 5% say he will be an unsuccessful president while just 23% say he will be successful; 20% say it is too early to tell.
- About half (53%) say Biden is mentally sharp; fewer say he is inspiring (47%) or energetic (43%).
- 93% of Republicans disapprove of Biden, compared with 61% of Democrats who approve of his job performance.
The margin of error for the poll is +/- 1.7%.
