Rep. Jody Hice, D-Ga., told Newsmax TV on Thursday he is "very confident" President Donald Trump's impeachment trial will end in an acquittal, and the vote will take place Friday or early next week.
"I feel very confident it's going to happen quickly, whether [Friday] or early next week, it really doesn't matter," Hice told "American Agenda." "But when you talk about 'game over,' which it is, the game over was on July 25, when the phone call was actually made."
He added, former National Security Adviser John Bolton's description of the call as "warm and cordial" in an interview last August was "clarifying," and changes "the false narrative that the Democrats have been trying to push out there, that there was some sort of corruption and attempt by the president for his own personal gain, they've been trying to create a false narrative" about the phone call.
Hice said the clip "puts a dagger in the heart of the Democrats' attempt to falsely bring a narrative that just simply is a fairy tale."
