Reports of a gunman at New York's John F. Kennedy Airport Sunday night were a false alarm, the New York Post reports.
A massive police turnout still ended up forcing dozens to evacuate Terminal 8 while they searched the area as a precaution.
According to the Post, a woman told police she though she saw a man with a gun in the Terminal, and that led to reports that shots had been heard. But police said none of their officers heard shots.
No one has been reported injured.
CBS Local reports that the first call came in at 9:38 p.m. and that dozens of people were evacuated from Terminal 8. At least some flights were canceled and flights that had landed did not immediately disembark, according to reports from other local news organizations and passengers on Twitter.
PIX 11 reported that at 10:15 shots were reported fired in Terminal 1.
