Jared Kushner gave a thumbs-up to a friend who was one of the central figures in the New Jersey bridge-closing that ended in a guilty plea.
Kushner, Donald Trump's son-in-law and adviser who's part of the president-elect's inner circle, sent an email to David Wildstein in late 2013 applauding the move, The Washington Post reported.
"Just wanted you to know that I am thinking of you and wishing the best. For what it's worth, I thought the move you pulled was kind of bad***," Kushner wrote to Wildstein.
Wildstein pled guilty in 2015 for the move, later dubbed Bridge-gate, that also led to the criminal convictions of two senior aides to Gov. Chris Christie.
A Kushner spokesman told the Post it was just an innocent yet "poorly worded way of Jared trying to cheer up an old friend."
