Hillary Clinton on Thursday tweeted out her thanks for neighbors who posted their Thanksgiving Day gratitude to the former Democratic presidential candidate near her suburban New York home.
Calling it a "heartwarming display," Clinton thanked the posters and wished them happy Thanksgiving.
She was later spotted by shoppers in Chappaqua, and some took selfies with her.
Other politicians marked the day with good wishes and family photos.
President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence sent out their separate Thanksgiving good wishes:
as did President Barack Obama, his last Thanksgiving holiday in the White House.
Sen. Marco Rubio tweeted out a family photo:
while Mitt Romney, under consideration for Secretary of State in the new Trump administration, tweeted out thanks for a "full house and full heart." Former Gov. Mike Huckabee was giving thanks for cooking his turkey in a smoker:
and Arizona Sen. John McCain proudly showed off his fried turkey dinner.
For his holiday tweet, House Speaker Paul Ryan shared a family tradition:
while Senate Leader Mitch McConnell sent out his wishes for a "wonderful, safe and relaxing" holiday.
Rudy Giuliani, the former New York City mayor who is now a Trump adviser and could be part of a new administration, called on thanks that "God gave us America and let us be part of it."
And Trump's national security adviser, Gen. Michael Flynn, also sent out his best wishes, with a hint from his hashtag that he was enjoying the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
