Former Sec. of State Hillary Clinton, whose 2016 race for the White House was rocked by an email scandal, is slated to speak at a digital technology conference in two weeks, the Washington Examiner reported Friday.

Clinton will appear with other luminaries in the digital technology arena at the 2017 Code Conference taking place May 30 through June 1. The announcement was made in an article on Recode, which suggests the event will also include an "epic interview" with Clinton.

"Fake news? Check! Email problems? Check! FBI controversy? Check! Russian hackers? Check! The impact of tech on jobs? Check! The state of our very divided union? Double check!!" the article stated.

"There's no bigger story right now than our fractured political landscape, including for the tech and media sector. And there's no better person to talk about that than someone who has spent 40 years in public service, including as First Lady, U.S. Senator, U.S. Secretary of State and the Democratic presidential candidate in 2016," the article stated.

The invitation-only conference will be held in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. Other notable speakers include Reed Hastings, Netflix CEO and Founder, California Democratic Sen. Kamala Harris, Jeff Bewkes, Chairman and CEO of Time Warner, Inc., and Dean Baquet, Executive Editor at The New York Times.

Previous attendees include Elon Musk, Sheryl Sandberg, Bill and Melinda Gates and Jeff Bezos, according to the conference website.

In 2016, "guest speakers offered fresh insights and perspectives on topics ranging from humans habitation on Mars to cognitive computing, tech and politics, and the coming product wars," according to Recode.

Clinton's profile on the website describes her "four decades in public service as an advocate, attorney, First Lady, U.S. Senator, U.S. Secretary of State and presidential candidate." It also mentions her "historic presidential campaign" in 2008 and her 2016 run where she "became the first woman nominated for president by a major U.S. political party," stressing that she "won the national popular vote."
