Garry Kasparov, the chess grandmaster turned democracy activist, criticized U.S. President Barack Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on social media.
Kasparov, chairman of the Human Rights Foundation in New York, was born in Baku, Azerbaijan, then part of the Soviet Union, has dedicated himself "to opposing Vladimir Putin's campaign to destroy democracy and civil liberties in Russia."

Twitter feed to offer a running commentary on Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the vote in Crimea to secede from Ukraine and return to Russian rule.
On Monday, Kasparov directed some of his ire toward Obama, likening him to former President Jimmy Carter. He complimented Carter for his "very tough stands on human rights," but took a shot at the former president's foreign policy and that of Obama.
