The far left is in a "never-ending battle against religion and God," said political commentator Dan Bongino Monday.
“The radical far left clearly does not want competition with the government. So they’re in this never-ending battle against religion and God. And I just don’t understand what they think they’re getting,” Bongino said Monday in an interview on "Fox & Friends."
Bongino was referencing legislation in Minnesota from state Sen. Dan Hall, R-Minn.,that would return the phrase “In God We Trust” to public school systems. Two Democratic state senators opposed the bill at a May 1 debate, but the amendment passed, The Daily Caller reported.
"Do they think people out there, churchgoers, people who love their God, love their religion, are going to take this lying down? Of course they’re going to fight back at the election booth and ideologically," Bongino said in the interview.
The commentator added that he was not referencing the behavior of all Democrats.
"Usually I have a pretty good grasp on the stupidity of the radical left, but let me be clear, I’m not talking about all Democrats. My church is full of Democrats that love their God and love their country," Bongino said.
