Jeffrey Epstein’s former Upper East Side home was defaced with graffiti praising Luigi Mangioni, alleged United Healthcare CEO assassin, according to a tweet by Mario Nawfal, host of the largest show on X.
The graffiti included the phrase “deny, defend, depose,” reflecting the word choice Mangione allegedly etched onto the bullets used to murder Brian Thompson.
The use of the phrase has proliferated in recent weeks, transforming into a dark rallying cry, and has been hung on signs, buildings, and highways worldwide, according to Yahoo News.
The phrase has cropped up on the exterior of a United Healthcare building in Nevada, bridges in Chicago and Chattanooga, and in locations as far flung as Venice, Italy, and Calgary, Canada.
“Free Luigi” was also emblazoned in red spray paint across the door of the $51 million estate, purchased by former Goldman Sachs executive Michael Daffey, according to the New York Post.
The vandalism was short lived — by noon Friday workers had power-washed the area.
The home, where authorities say Epstein once entertained underaged women and scions of power, was described as “a dark tourist attraction” by the New York Post after his 2019 arrest for sex trafficking and subsequent jail suicide.
Vandalism is not a new problem for the mansion, neighbors told the Post. The house has been subject to smeared animal blood and excrement in the past.
