Emerson Poll: Many Doubt Epstein Committed Suicide

Thirty-four percent of voters believe disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein was murdered, a new Emerson College poll reveals.

Thirty-three percent believe he committed suicide and 32% are unsure, according to the poll.

Here are how the results, released Tuesday, break down:

  • 46% of Republicans say it was murder, while 26% say it was suicide.
  • 26% of Democrats say he was murdered, compared to 38% who say it was suicide.
  • 31% of independents believe Epstein was murdered, compared to 37% who say he committed suicide.

The poll, conducted Aug. 24-26, surveyed 1,458 registered voters. The margin of error is plus or minus 2.5 percentage points.
