President Donald Trump on Friday questioned whether the "so-called whistleblower" regarding his Ukrainian telephone call was "a whistleblower at all" and whether the "second-hand information" was provided by "a partisan operative."

"Sounding more and more like the so-called whistleblower isn't a whistleblower at all," the president posted on Twitter. "In addition, all second-hand information that proved to be so inaccurate that there may not have even been somebody else, a leaker or spy, feeding it to him or her?

"A partisan operative?" Trump posed.

The whistleblower's complaint alleged that White House officials were directed by administration attorneys to "lock down" the transcript of Trump's July 25 call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, though the complainant learned of the action from "multiple U.S. officials."

The whistleblower also said it was "not the first time" a presidential transcript was placed into a system with more security than where normally stored, though accusing the White House this time of a cover-up.

On Friday, however, a top White House official acknowledged to Fox News that lawyers did order the Ukrainian records into the more-secured system.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced Tuesday that six committees would investigate Trump for impeachment over the call and his suggesting that Zelenskiy investigate former Vice President Joe Biden.
