The Trump campaign is pushing back at President Joe Biden's claims about his economic achievements, calling them "Biden Lies."
In an outline from former President Donald Trump's election team to Newsmax, Biden's assertions were countered on economic progress in job numbers, inflation, gas prices, income, and the national debt.
The Trump team, citing a House of Representatives press release from June 2, said a 72% job surge claimed by Biden "were simply jobs that were being recovered from the pandemic, not new job creation."
"Labor force participation was stronger under President Trump and Bidenflation has outpaced wage growth nearly the entirety of Biden's term," the Trump campaign team stated.
Trump's team also blasted Biden's claim that gas prices "were over $5 when I took office."
"There isn't a person in America who believes this Biden lie," the team charged. The nationwide price of price of regular gasoline was an average $2.45 in 2020 and hit $4.90 in 2022.
The team also blasted Biden's assertion that incomes are up.
"Inflation-adjusted average weekly earnings were $397.90 when Biden took office and are now $380.56 – the [Bureau of Labor Statistics] adjusts to 1982-1984 dollars – meaning Americans have seen a 4.4% pay cut under Biden," they wrote.
The Trump team also refuted Biden's claim on cutting the national debt, countering the national debt has increased over $7 trillion since Biden took office, citing the Treasury Department.
