President Donald Trump suggested the possibility of a Fourth of July parade in Washington, D.C.
He brought up the parade during a cabinet meeting Tuesday. He said it could take place at the Lincoln Memorial, The Hill reported.
“It could be an exciting day,” Trump said.
The Hill noted Washington already has a parade down Constitution Avenue on the Fourth.
And it is not the first time Trump has raised the possibility of a parade in Washington. He has brought up the idea of a military parade several times in the past. However, he canceled all planning in August 2018 after officials put the price tag at $92 million. At the time, he placed the blame on “local politicians” in D.C. for the high price tag.
